PM to go to the Navy Day celebration

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) issued a statement announcing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Indian Navy Day celebration in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, on December 4, 2023, and will also dedicate the 43-foot statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort.

Additionally, PM Modi will see operational demonstrations by aircraft, warships, submarines, and special forces from the Tarkarli beach in Sindhudurg.

The statement added that this is the first time a major event of this magnitude is not happening at a major naval station. This year, Navy Day is being organised at the Sindhudurg Fort, and it shows that the three services are now organising their flagship ceremonial events outside Delhi.
